Teenage Employment

Nowadays, most teenagers want to get a job and make their own money. However, it is hard to

find a job for teenagers because according to the Mongolian constitution, children under fifteen

cannot be employed. Even though you are fifteen, you need permission from your parents to
get employed. Also, you cannot work overtime and you have to rest during anniversaries. If any

of the above is violated, the employer will be fined 1150000-300000 tugrugs. In addition,

employers are usually not interested in teenage employment because it is unprofitable, they
will take on a lot of responsibilities and if one of the rules get violated, they will be fined.

Moreover, there are some jobs that cannot be done by minors. For example, carrying heavy
objects, and jobs that are harmful to children’s health. Lastly, teenagers’ salary is usually very

low.

Despite these problems, there are some advantages of youth work. It will help teenagers’ social
life, preparing them for life. And of course, they will make their own money and stop asking

their parents for money.
They will learn a lot of new things

which may be useful for life.

Furthermore, teenage employment will help teenagers to explore themselves, identifying
what they like and do not like. In conclusion, teenagers could get a job but it is not really

necessary. Instead focusing on their study is more necessary.
