Page 25 - RFDS - What is it like

Hello, my name is Declan. I am 10 years
old. I live in Victoria, Australia and I have been
halfway all around the world. I live in a split
level house in Victoria. If you don’t know what
a split level house is, it has a high part and a
low part.

Let me tell you about my family. I have a sister,
a mum, a dad, a nan, a pop and 5 uncles. My
nan was born in 1955 and my pop was born in
1950. I was born in 2010 and now its 2020. My
sister Chloe was born in 2005.

I had a cat called CJ but I don’t know if she
died or ran away. I have a new pet skink called
Dana.

The best bit of my school is the library because
it respects the Aboriginal Country and the
people who have died in the war.

When I grow up I want to be a parent, a
YouTuber, a singer and a football player for
Port Adelaide.

My name is Alannah, and I live in Bacchus
Marsh, Victoria. I am nine years old. I have spent
three years in my new house and have one sister
and a brother.

I have a cat called Freddy, he is a domestic medium
hair and he is usually meowing. He looks like he is
wearing white socks.

One of my neighbours, on the left, has a pet lizard
and the neighbor on the right has two peach trees.
In my house, I have a messy room and in the
backyard we have a worm farm. My hobbies are
reading, drawing, playing and basketball. I get
distracted easily at my house and bored.

I am getting to work on a secret project at home on

the 10 of August, 2020. I miss my friends because
it is lockdown during Covid-19. Also I am feeling
emotional and grumpy. I am looking forward to my
birthday.

At school, I love multiplication and trying hard. I
hate maths tests and handwriting. School starts at
9:00 in the morning and ends at 3:30.
