Page 22 - RFDS - What is it like

Hi, I’m Taylor. I’m 11 years old and this is my place. I live in Victoria with my Mum and Dad.

Right now, we are going through something called the Corona virus. Most kids my age are
struggling.

I found that being stuck in quarantine is really boring!!!
When you are not dong the school work that was sent
home you are most likely sitting around doing nothing
since we have to stay at home 24/7.

The schoolwork was pretty boring as well, and way too much was sent home in my opinion! Way
too much! It’s better to be at school as it’s much easier and fills up your day a bit more. It’s not
as boring because I have a clear schedule.

When I was at home, I would play with my
dogs, sometimes they are big cheaters
though. I have just been sitting at home
reading, doing schoolwork and playing with
my dogs.

A few months ago, I went into hospital for eye surgery. It was quite scary as when I woke up, I
couldn’t see. I couldn’t even open my eyes. When the light shone in my eyes, I couldn’t even
block it out. I had to turn away because of the pain it gave me. Now I am waiting for glasses.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I swim.

Before I even knew about Corona Virus, I was
trying to focus on my clumsy life. I like drawing
and painting. I also like animating on my iPad.

I like having sleepovers with my best friend in
the world, Charlie. We have been friends ever
since we had our first sleepover. She’s a bit
messy but she’s a great friend to have. Charlie
and I have mostly the same interests. We both
like the same colours (mostly), we both like
the same games and youtubers and we love
telling some jokes every now and then. It’s
really fun.
I also like watching and drawing anime. I’m
not interested in Poke`mon currently but I like
Fruits Basket and other anime like that.
