La Lomita

At the beginning of 1978 Abha Hamir arrived in California, not at La Lomita, as it was still under construction,
but to Greengate Farms, the Stream’s Ranch, a few miles away. Bobby Hart started her training immediately
and, was delighted with her progress, since she was highly intelligent and learned quickly. Notes:
On her first halter show, the year of her arrival, she became Reserve Champion. In 1979 Abha Hamir was
presented in 13 shows becoming Champion in all of them, including the prestigious Scottsdale as well as the Abha Hamir name
Canadian and US Nationals. Such extraordinary success made American breeders interested in the Spanish
bloodlines, so during several years many Arabians were exported from Spain to the US. _________________

The Arabians bred at La Lomita were much appreciated in the US and continued to win at the shows. The _________________

Soon thereafter, American trainer Gil Chavez suggested we take Abha Hamir back to the show ring; this time _________________
