Inmate Transportation

Food Services
There were 398,859 meals were served to
inmates and staff in 2020.This averages 1,092
meals per day.
Average cost per meal for 2020 was
approximately $1.30/meal, a decrease of $0.14
compared to the prior year. A new food vendor
was used in 2020 to help control increasing
food costs. On average, 45 special diet meals
(includes medical ordered, religious beliefs,
and personal choice diet) are prepared each
meal.
Chaplain Services
Reverend Jeffrey McIlwain provides spiritual support to all denominations
and is available for both inmates and staff. He is a critical liaison between
the Sheriff’s Office and the community, providing relevant insight on topics
of concern in our communities.
There were no religious volunteers allowed in the jail in 2020 due to
COVID-19. Volunteeer Chaplains Macauley Lord and Rev. Dannita Lofton
helped coordinate volunteers to provide spiritual literature for inmates.
