Sîan’s current work is deeply personal, stirred by her mother’s recent experiences with breast cancer and her increased risk of contracting the disease.Themes of distrust, anger and acceptance are key. Through a process-driven practice and a methodology of playfulness, Sîan’s work has become a combination of social-activism and self-exploration.
Siân Evans teaches Art at St Mary’s Calne and has recently been awarded an MA in Fine Art. Her deep-rooted interests in contemporary and conceptual art and enthusiastic nature, feed into her lively approach to teaching.
