It was our first event, all about us a throng,
frightening me so much could go wrong.
My driver knew a song can help calm,
that day music could sooth like a balm.
We walked far to be seen but not heard.
The rhythm helped more than a word.
Music that day helped me,
keeping me from trying to flee.
