Humanities 2 (Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions) covers various contemporary arts coming from different regions in the Philippines. It aims to broaden students’ knowledge in different indigenous traditions through various art forms. This course will open possible opportunities in the students’ future career path. Note on Prerequisite(s): None
Mathematics 1 (General Mathematics) teaches the students how to solve problems involving rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; to solve business-related problems; and to learn to graph and solve problems involving Trigonometric functions. Note on Prerequisite(s): None
Mathematics 2 (Statistics and Probability) trains the students how to solve problems involving random variables and probability distributions; to apply sampling techniques and distributions; to estimate and test hypotheses on the population mean; and to perform correlation and regression analysis on real-life problems. Note on Prerequisite(s): Mathematics 2 is a prerequisite to Practical Research 2.
Science 1 (Earth and Life Science) provides a general background for the understanding of Earth Science and Biology. It discusses aspects of Earth’s origin, structure, composition and process, as well as some topics relating to the Solar System.
