c. The General Weighted Average (GWA) of 75% is required for promotion to the next level.
d. A student who gets a final grade below 75% in a subject at the end of the school year will be required to take a removal examination.
Failure to pass the removal examination(s) will require the student to attend and pass the summer class(es).
e. A student who gets a final grade below 75% in three (3) or more subjects will be required to repeat the level.
3.4.4 Senior High School
a. The promotion of students is done by subject, not by curriculum year.
b. The passing grade in any subject is 75% to earn a credit for the subject.
c. A student with a grade of 70–74% at the end of the semester will be required to take the removal examination. Failure to pass the removal examination will require the student to retake the subject.
d. If the failed subject is a prerequisite to an advanced subject as specified in the curriculum, then the student may not take the advanced subject for which he or she failed the prerequisite.
e. Students who fail a subject due to absences (“Failure Due to Absences” or FA) are not qualified to take the removal examination. He or she will be required to attend and pass the summer class or retake the subject failed.
f. A student with a grade of 65–69% at the end of the semester will be required to attend and pass the summer class or retake the subject failed.
