  Meet the Board
Aubrey McCarthy
Chairman
Susan Philips
Susan joined the board in 2017, she is currently a Lecturer with IT Carlow and is a political analyst and broadcaster. Susan is involved with Finance, HR, Fundraising and Events within Tiglin and is also
an active member on the board of the National Library of Ireland.
Dr. Gerard Farrell
Gerard has a PhD in Plant Biotechnology and has a science background. He is
a retired Managing Director in the Pharmaceutical Industry and a past president of the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association.
   Keith Flynn
Keith has a masters in engineering; his area of expertise is Corporate Social Responsibility and he has a long history of CSR with large multinational corporations. Keith is responsible for the Finance, Fundraising and Events within Tiglin. Keith is also an active member of the Main Street Food Bank.
Dr. Emmanuel Eguare
Emmanuel is a Consultant Surgeon and formerly a Medical Doctor and Health Practitioner, his area of expertise is Health & Safety and Addiction Management.
Emmanuel is also a director of Grace Life Ministries (A Registered Charity)
Aidan Nevin
Company Secretary
Aidan joined the board in 2004, he is currently the company secretary and has 15 years in company secretarial work in the not for profit sector. Aidan specialises in Governance and Finance and is also company secretary for St Marks
and Job Care.
Jerry Conlon
MD of Venturis Investment Group. Jerry’s expertise is in commercial property development with many years of building relationships with state bodies such as the HSE. He brings an entrepreneurial flair to the board.
Ger Ganley
Farewell
Ger Ganley has been at the centre of Tiglin operations for the past 8 years. His interest is purely to serve the needs of others and has done this wholeheartedly. A man who is generous in heart and spirit with a love for the work we do, he will be greatly missed. Moving on to a new role will be an exciting challenge for Ger but he can do so knowing that his legacy at Tiglin is represented through the lives he has seen change while he managed our men’s centre.

Meet the new Managers
   Dr. Stephen K Bradley
Centre Manager, Tiglin Men’s Centre
Stephen has approx. 40 years’ experience of working within care practice (NHS, Social Services, private and charity sectors) and latterly in academia. Registered mental health nurse (retired!); Qualified with BSc (Hons) Psychology; PhD in Social Sciences. Stephen has been in Ireland for 10 years, worked at NUIG and UCC; also, Consultant in Training & Development for Hope Trust (8 years).
Paula Valentine
Manager, Tiglin Day Service
Paula qualified with Hons Degree
in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and Degree in Drug and Alcohol Studies. She has 19 years experience as Addiction Practitioner, FETAC Tutor, Therapeutic Group Facilitator & Programme Co-ordinator.
Paula has worked through the whole addiction continuum of care from low threshold, stablization, residential treatment, Educational Programme Co-ordinator, to managing Drug & Alcohol free Day Programme.
Alex Newcomb
Programme Manager, Tiglin Men’s Centre
Originally from London but moved to Ireland with his wife and children in 2000. Alex has a BA (Hons) in addiction counselling and recently completed a masters in chaplaincy and pastoral studies. He has been working in addiction field for almost 30 years including 9 years in residential.
