a. Gong

The rhythmic musical instrument that is often used in Malay art
performances is the gong. This musical instrument is round like a disc and made of

metal. The back of the gong is deliberately dredged up to be thin to produce a loud

tone. The way to play this rhythmic instrument is by hitting it with a cloth-covered bat.

                b. Jimbe

Jimbe has a shape that is almost the same as a kendang which looks like a cup and

the inside is deliberately made hollow (empty). The main material used to make this
rhythmic musical instrument is wood which is carved either by machine or by hand.

Jimbe is a percussion instrument that is played by hitting it using the fingers or

                palms.
