Event Formats
Best Ball - All players play their own ball throughout the round. On each hole, the low score or “best ball” of the
group serves as the team score. If the event has “2 Best Balls of 4”, the team would add together the
two lowest scores on each hole.
Scramble- All players hit a tee shot. The team chooses the best shot and moves all balls within one club length of
that point. All shot are hit and the process is repeated until the ball is holed.
Step-a-Side All players hit a tee shot. The team chooses the best shot and moves all balls within one club length of
Scramble- that point. The player whose shot was chosen will sit out on the next shot. Repeat this process until the
ball is holed.
Stableford- This format is a point system based on the number of strokes taken on each hole in relation to par. The
objective is to have the highest point total.
Modified Both players tee off and select the preferred drive. From that point, players will alternate shots until the
Pinehurst- ball is holed.
Pinehurst- Both players tee off. Partners switch and hit each other’s second shot. After the second shot, partners
select the ball with which they choose to score and play alternate shot until the ball is holed.
