Local Rules
Ditches paralleling holes 3, 5, and 12 are lateral water hazards (red stakes). Drop ball within two club lengths,
no nearer the hole, with a penalty of one stroke.
Roads- artificially surfaced roads or paths interfering with stroke or stance. A player may drop within one club
length of the nearest point of full relief, without penalty.
Pond on hole 3/hole 4 – Ball may be dropped in marked drop area, or played as a water hazard with one stroke
penalty.
All fences are on the boundary line. To be out of bounds the ball must be over the fence or beyond the line of
white stakes signifying out of bounds.
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (USGA Rule 24-1 applies)
Distance Measuring Devices – Players may obtain distance information using a device that measures distance
only.
Flower beds are considered mandatory relief areas an treated as ground under repair.
Dress Code
We rely on your discretion and good taste to be properly attired at all times. Standard golfing attire is always
appropriate. Clothing with slogans is prohibited, as is the wearing of golf shoes with metal spikes.
All changes of clothing and shoes for golf by members and their guests must be made in the appropriate locker room
only.
Members are responsible for their guests’ behavior and their guests’ attire
Men – Bermuda shorts are the only length permitted. Cargo shorts and pants, shorter shorts, t-shirts, or open mesh
knits are not allowed. Jeans of any type and work type dungarees are not allowed. Shirts should be collared and neatly
tucked in at all times. Caps should be worn with the bill facing forward. Inside the clubhouse, caps are only permitted in
the Locker Room. Bathing attire is not permitted on the Golf Course, Practice/Putting Greens, or the Driving Range.
Women – Bermuda length shorts and skirts are the only length permitted. Slacks may be worn at any time. Short
shorts, short skirts, jeans of any type and halters are not permitted. Caps should be worn with the bill facing forward.
Inside the Clubhouse, caps are only permited in the Women’s Locker Room.
These rules apply to children as well as adults.
Handicaps
We use the GHIN handicap system by the USGA
Inquire with professional staff to get set up
Post all scores upon completion of the round
Must post all home and away scores
Post at posting station in golf shop or on the MGA app
Must play at least 13 holes to post an 18 hole score
Must play at least 7 holes to post a 9 hole score
For unfinished holes, score should be strokes already taken plus estimated strokes left to hole out
For holes not played, score should be par plus handicap strokes received on hole
Before posting, review your card and apply “Equitable Stroke Control” as needed
Equitable Stroke Control sets the maximum score that a player can post on a hole
