An ideal teacher is critically conscious, socially just and inclusive of

all children. There are different learners at the school. For example

different cultures, age, religion etc. Tsonga people are dominating

within the school. Therefore the school needed an ideal teacher that

will not discriminate against learners but rather be inclusive. The

school had implemented a good strategy whereby Tsonga learners

have their own class and a teacher who is Tsonga as well. This is

beneficial to them as the teacher code switches when learners do not

understand the content. The ideal teacher at Dr harry Gwala is the

one that will cater for everyone, in other words be inclusive.

An ideal teacher is the creator of curriculum. She is knowledgeable of

relevant content and current developments in the field as well capable

of sequencing learning so that children are able to explore with
