4. Suspended scaffolding
1. Suspended scaffolding must have a calculation note for the scaffolding and the supporting structure.
2. Each hoist (of a suspended scaffolding) shall be connected to a lifting wire rope and a secondary safety wire rope.
3. The electric hoists of the suspended scaffolding shall work simultaneously and shall be equipped with fall arrester, overload safety device and overspeed brake.
4. Bearing capacity of the slab (where the jibs are installed) shall be verified prior to installation.
5. The suspended scaffolding shall be inspected and certified by a competent person after installation, and regularly inspected.
6. Users shall be trained on how to safely operate such equipment.
7. Operators must use a safety harness attached to the anchor point of
the suspended scaffold.
8. A panel with the SWL/number of persons must be visible on the suspended scaffolding.
9. Safe and adequate access to the hoist must be set up.
