1. A third party must certify MEWPs every 6 months or when it is transferred to a new site or in case of failure of a safety device.
2. Operators must be trained and certified by a third party and a certified internal inspector.
3. Place the platform on flat and compacted ground designed to bear the load.
4. MEWPs must have a weight limit switch.
5. MEWPs must have certified anchor points.
6. Users must always wear a safety harness with a safety line of one metre max and hook it to a dedicated anchor point.
7. MEWP’s must:
- havetheoutriggersinplacebeforeliftingup
- be lowered before being moved somewhere else
8. MEWP’s must be used with 2 operators.
9. MEWP’s instruction manual must be on the equipment.
