As one of the oldest, most history rich cities in the United States, Charleston will
introduce your students to generations of America. The oldest museum in America,
Charleston museum, is located in the heart of downtown Charleston. This museum will
offer your students a tour of one of the most extensive collections of Civil War artifacts.
Fort Sumter is a must see attraction - as your students will have the chance to stand
where the first shots of the Civil War broke out. Your students can visit the U.S.S.
Yorktown - our Nation's 2nd aircraft. You may opt to include a Historic District walking
tour, a visit to Boone Hall Plantation, a Barrier Island Ecological Program, or shopping
along Historic City Market while in Charleston. This is a trip that your students are sure
to love!
