LINES OF ILLUSTRATION

Now that you understand there are different
body types you also need to know how to
select clothes to cover them. Let’s move to the
next level of dressing right, you can be fashion-
able, sassy and full of flavorful pizzas. Did you
know the lines in a garment could determine
Inverted - Arrow how your clothing fit. The more lines the better
the fit. Okay your thinking lines, what lines,
what are you talking about? Take at look below
at the pictures they give you examples of the
lines of illustration.

V - Line

The lines of illustration are found in every garment
we wear. There are six basic lines of illustrations.
The straight line, the T line, the inverted arrow, the
arrow, the V and the Y. Look closely at the dress to
your right. It shows the Y line of illustration. The
button down shirt shows the arrow line. These ba-
sic styles give you an idea of the line of illustration Y - Line
and how they add or subtract from our body type.
