LINES OF ILLUSTRATION
Fashion designers use the lines of illustration when they create
and design clothing we wear. For example, the T line can be
found on a strapless dress or top. When you wear a blazer you
can see the arrow or y line depending on the collar. The lines of
illustration can make you look short, tall, fat or skinny. These
lines are amazing and used on every garment. Once you learn
to recognize them your eye will begin to see them immediately.
Learning to see fashions from a designer perspective will help
you to understand how to shop with you in mind. Most of the
time we wear what is for someone else. We usually wear what T - Line
we see in the store, or on a fashion channel and say they look
great I can wear that too. Take an honest look in the mirror.
What do you see? Who do you see? Will that outfit work for
you? Can you see yourself wearing it? Will it complement or
take away from you
