Resonance
We have seen the SHM oscillator, when vibrating it has a
natural resonance – the frequency at which it oscillates.
All objects have a resonance frequency, sometimes
several.
Even a jelly has a resonance frequency – it
will wobble as you shake it.
The nature of the resonance depends
on the object. The resonance of a jelly is very
different from that of a quality wine glass which
usually has a distinct natural resonance.
