wines. This glass is used for drinking red wine as it has
a short stem. Red wine is usually served at room
temperature so it is quite acceptable to hold the glass
by the fingers.
3. This class is used for drinking white wine, white
wine is cooled before it is drunk. The temperature of
white wine is about five or 6° and it loses its taste if
it's drank at a higher temperature. Ideally you should
hold this glass by the stem, this way there will be no
heat transfer from your fingers to the wine in the
glass.
4. This glass is used for drinking whisky, you would
only put a couple of centimetres of whisky into this
glass. Although it is quite a large glass you would only
put a small amount of whisky into it.
5. This glass would be used for a variety of drinks. They
include port, sherry and liquors. There are many
different types of the liquors on the market and they
come in different coloured and shaped bottles.
6. Finally this glass is for drinking brandy, the shape of
the glass allows a large contact area with your
hand. This enables good heat transfer from your hand
