Lesson 41

The photo in this lesson shows an eclipse of the moon,

also known as a lunar eclipse. These events are quite
        common.

An eclipse of the moon occurs when the earth is
between the moon and the sun, so in effect the earth

casts a shadow over the moon. Very often the moon

changes from its normal yellowish colour to an orange
colour when there is a full eclipse.
