call movements and there is lots of life and energy in

        all three movements.

        At the first performance of this concerto in 1795 he

        was the soloist. He used it to introduce himself to the
        Viennese public. The form of an 18th century concerto

        was a fast movement followed by a slow movement

        followed by another fast movement. Beethoven used
        this form for his first piano concerto.


         It is a very, very popular concerto and is performed

        many  times  every  year  in  various  concert  halls  in
        Britain and Europe. Every concert pianist will have this

        concerto  amongst  the  list  of  concertos  they  play
        owing  to  its  great  popularity. Below  you  will  see  a
