Lesson 44


        This  lesson  is  all  about  the  banknotes  that  are  in
        current use in England. There are in fact four different

        size  banknotes  and  you  will  see  photos  of  three  of
        them. The unit of currency in Britain is the pound £

        and the current banknotes are £5, £10, £20 and £50.


        The approximate exchange rate between the £ and
        the yuan is, £1 is worth 10 yuan. Although the tourist

        exchange rate will be slightly different.


























        The £5 note is coloured turquoise as you can see from

        the photo, there is a portrait of the Queen on the front
        and  a  portrait  of  Winston  Churchill  on  the  back,

        Winston Churchill was a very famous Prime Minister.
