The £20 note is coloured purple with a portrait of the
queen on the front and on the back of the banknote
there is a portrait of the very famous economist Adam
Smith. Adam Smith lived during the 18th century
when the Industrial Revolution was expanding in
England. He was able to see first-hand the social
Impact of industrialisation in England.
The £50 note is rarely used and in fact many shops will
not accept £50 notes.
If you come to the UK you will probably have a
selection of banknotes shown here, avoid accepting
the £50 note as it is not very welcome in many shops
unless you are buying very expensive items.
