The prawn cocktail is a big favourite in England.

        The second course is a beef pie with vegetables and

        roast potatoes. In a good beef pie, there will be big

        pieces of beef covered by pastry.





















         It is very important that all the fat is trimmed off the
        meat. The vegetables on the plate are carrots, swede,

        beans and peas.  On  the left hand  side of  the plate

        there is a small amount of horse radish sauce which
        goes with the beef and is extremely hot.


        The  third  course,  the  desert,  is  what  we  call  apple
        crumble. It is difficult to explain what crumble is, it is

        sweet  and  is  another  big  favourite  in  England.

        Underneath the crumble you will have pieces of apple
        and this is covered by yellow custard.
