The photo shows an interesting device, a hybrid 混合动
力 of a computer keyboard and a MIDI piano keyboard.
This has a USB connector and can be connected to any
computer. The keyboard is used for composing music
and is very easy to use.
You would use this keyboard in combination with
notator software. Notator software shows blank lines
of music staves and you use the keyboard to add
notes to the staves. Normally you use the mouse to
locate the position of the first note and off you go.
Some notator software has real-time entry. By this we
mean, you play the tune on the keyboard and the
notes appear on the staves on the computer screen.
The duration of the notes is also recognised.
