After you enter the first line of music, the computer

can playback the music and you can then add another
line of music. This way you can build up your score

using different instruments.

This keyboard is particularly useful if you are writing

songs where you need musical notes and words

together. The MIDI keyboard for the musical notes
and the qwerty keyboard for the words.

When using this keyboard, it's customary to use the

mouse with the left hand and the keyboard with the
right hand. At first you need some practice to enter

the notes especially when working in real-time. You
can also enter several notes at the same time, these

are called chords.

You can playback your music at any time, this makes

composing music much easier and its customary even
for professional composers to use a MIDI keyboard

linked to a computer running notator software. A
famous notator software is Sibelius, this software also

has a video playback to help film composers to write

music for video scenes.
