The School three strategic direction, departmental and individual needs, Egypt vision 2030 and recommendations are the major components for setting the professional development plan. All teachers take an effective part in attending seminars, workshops and trainings.

At our school, effective professional development affects students. Students’ learning and achievement increase when teachers engage in effective professional development focused on the skills teachers need in order to address students’ major learning challenges.
Impact:
To measure the desired impact of PDs, teachers are continuously requested to submit a self- reflection after each PD explaining how, she /he is going to implement was learned/acquired in classroom. This can be monitored through learning walks and evaluating lesson plans regularly.
C-Observations & Coaching / Monitoring & Follow-Up
A) Observations
Purpose:
1. To observe the learning of individual learners and/or groups of learners:
• Tracking progress of individuals and/or groups across the curriculum
• Learners’ experiences in different settings
• To ensure the schools are implementing three strategic directions for 2019/2020 .
2. To follow up on the impact of professional development: • Sharing effective practice
• Shared learning and collaborative development
• Peer observation/ formal observation
• As part of coaching and mentoring arrangements
• Specialist guidance or advice – such as on teaching techniques, curriculum areas, use of ICT
equipment.
3. To monitor the quality of teaching:
• As part of the annual performance management cycle
• As part of the statutory induction process for newly teachers
• For the purposes of making judgments about learning and teaching in the school as a whole • As part of inspection arrangements
