Established in 1983, the Chinese Orchestra is currently one of the university’s Tier 1
member clubs. The Orchestra holds many musical performances, like our annual concert,
Transient Reminiscences, as well as several other external performances. The concert
aims to preserve Chinese music heritage as well as promote a greater appreciation for
classical Chinese music among the general public. Additionally, Chinese Orchestra also
organizes overseas exchange trips to enrich our members culturally and musically.

We welcome individuals from different musical backgrounds — while prior experience
is preferred, we will accept any passionate individuals with a desire to learn! The club
is filled with spirited and friendly members, all striving to improve as an orchestra while
forging strong bonds.
