Resignations
Prof Fulufhelo Nemavhola, Director of School of Engineering resigned to
join Durban University of Technology as the dean of engineering and built
environment.
We acknowledge his 3-year leadership as the School Director, where he:
• ensured that the new PQM for Engineering is implemented awlessly,
• practicals are implemented in our own Florida laboratories,
• encouraged the culture of research in the school,
• drove the agenda of capacity development for the junior
• lecturers/lecturers,
• established a catalytic niche area project in biomedical engineering,
• introduced assessment for learning
• assisted us as a college to bring in innovative proctoring solutions to
protect the integrity of our qualications.
• worked tirelessly with his team to ensure that we receive ECSA
accreditation, the recent being regular accreditation for the 7 advanced
diploma in engineering qualications.
On the 1st of October 2022 Prof Hlengilizwe Nyoni handed in his resignation as
an Associate Professor of iNanoWS and an employee of UNISA. Prof Nyoni joined
the then NanoWS Research Unit in January 2015, working hand in hand with the
founders of the NanoWS Research Unit in establishing and operationalizing the
iNanoWS laboratories. He contributed in building up the labs from empty spaces
to the high-end instrument rooms and efficient laboratories that are in place today
at iNanoWS.
Retirees
We wish to bid farewell to the following colleagues that will be going on retirement at the end of 2022
for their immense contribution to CSET and UNISA at large:
