¶ And the Jews’ Passover was nigh at hand: [A]nd many went out of the country up to
Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves. Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among
themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast? Now both the

chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he
should shew it, that they might take him. •

¶ And Jesus sat over against the treasury, • [a]nd he looked up, • and beheld how the people
cast money into the treasury: • [A]nd saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. • [A]nd many

¶ And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: • And as some spake of the temple, how it
was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, • his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of
the temple. • And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what

manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these
great buildings? • See ye not all these things? • As for these things which ye behold, the days will come,
in the which • verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not
       be thrown down. •

¶ T[hen] Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had
