COMPASSIONATE APPOINTMENT

Applicability • Effective from 01st November 2014
• Dependent Family Members ** of PSGIC employees

Eligibility  Death During Service (Including Suicidal Death
 Is retired on Medical Grounds due to incapacitation before reaching the age

of 55 years
 Missing employees (after two years from the date of missing)

 Family is indigent and requires immediate relief from financial unstableness
 Applicant should be eligible for the post under the recruitment rules **

Relaxation  Lower age limit is 18 years
 Upper age limit will be relaxed wherever found necessary

Time Limit  Upto Five years from the date of death or retirement on medical grounds
effective from 01st November 2014

Vacancy  Maximum of 5% vacancies falling under Direct Recruitment quota

Special Provision  Widow appointed on compassionate grounds will continue after
re-marriage

 Already employed outside are also eligible (with proper
verification)
