Soror Earline Steele passed away on Sunday, September 1st.

Soror Melanie Handy’s father-in-law, Mr. L.C. Handy, passed away on September 10th.

Soror Vera Harris passed away on September 10th. Soror Harris is the mother of Sorors
Valda Montgomery and Adrienne Cyrus.

Mrs. Jacquelyn Bledsoe, the aunt of Sorors Danica Taylor and Quanda Robinson passed
on September 22nd.

Mr. Naazir Yamini, husband of Soror Brooke Carter Yamini, passed away on September
21st. Soror Brooke Carter Yamini is the daughter of past chapter president, the late
Brenda T. Carter.

Mrs. Carmellia Taylor, mother of Soror Casey Graves, and Stepmother of Soror Mona
Davis passed away on September 27th.

Congratulations to Soror Tyna Davis on being selected as an Honoree for the 2019 This Is Alabama and
Birmingham Magazine's Women Who Shape the State Recognition Program.

Soror Jaunita Owes has been recently recognized as one of Carver High School's 2019 Distinguished
Alumni.

Sorors Pamela Fossett and Minich Cabble-Ware were named to Alabama State University's 2019 "50
Under 50" award recipients.
