1. Read the following passage about the best time to make a business
arrangement.
An arrangement for a business meeting is varied in countries
around the world. In Asia, meetings with clients are sometimes held
in coffee shop, while dinners are common particularly in South
Korea. On the contrary it is a bit different in Taiwan. Many business
people take a nap after lunch and the vacation period they like
most is January through March. In Europe, the arrangement are also
varied. In Switzerland the office hours are generally from Monday
through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an hour lunch break.
While in France, most people take four or five weeks summer
vacation in July and August. Many businesses close during August. In
Germany, some offices close by 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.
Schedule appointments in Friday afternoon are impossible .
