Chemetall Precision Microchemicals (a business unit of BASF) based in
Fremont, California, USA in the heart of silicon valley, has developed a
range of abrasives for all stages of machining and finishing SiC waters
and other high value Wide Band Gap Semiconductor (WBGS) materials.
Our facility consists of offices, a scale-up manufacturing plant, an
R&D laboratory with state-of-the art analytical equipment, tribological
machinery and lapping/polishing and chemo-mechanical planarizing
(CMP) tools. Global production facilities offer mega-manufacturing
capabilities in the USA, Europe and Asia.
The facility produces coolants, lubricants, abrasive compounds/slurries
and cleaners used in the machining and finishing of electronic materials
and device fabrication. Our team of chemists, QA/process engineers and
polishing scientists meet high technology clients’ specialty fluid and
abrasive needs in the USA, Europe and Asia.
