Fairfield Avenue in Black Rock is the main artery featuring many businesses

and restaurants such as; Tru North Tavern & Table, Fire Engine Pizza Compa-

ny, BRYAC Restaurant and Raw Bar, Walrus and Carpenter Gastro Pub, Har-
borview Market, and library. The neighborhoods’ nearby waterfront, the loca-

tion of the commercial corridor and the new commuter rail station have all
make Black Rock one of the most wonderful and eclectic neighborhoods in

Fairfield County.

The Black Rock Community Council (BRCC), founded in 1976, is

the oldest and largest community membership organization in
the area. The Council’s mission is to pro-
mote projects that will enhance the quality
