Scenes from Dayton convention
Museum director works with AFCATCA on Cyberspace and ATC display
Dave Tillotson, Director of the National Museum of the
US Air Force, pictured, was one of our guides during the
museum tour.
Dave was Maj Gen (Ret) Dale Meyerrose's roommate at
the Air Force Academy. Both were on the parachute team
and, interestingly, the aircraft (an Aero Commander U-4B)
that they jumped from numerous times as cadets is the
one now in the Air Force Museum (pictured). Dave is
standing in front of the display.
This aircraft previously was used by President Dwight D.
Eisenhower (also a pilot) from 1956 to 1960 and other high
ranking DOD officials until 1969 when it was transferred
to the Air Force Academy.
Tillotson is dedicating an entire display wall at the
Museum to Cyberspace and Air Traffic Control. AFCATCA
is working with him to design what will be showcased.
Ken Reiff and Jay Adsit have been working with Dave Tillotson stands in front of a U-4B
Dave. This is HUGE for both the Air Force Museum and display at the AF Museum.
