DE EVENTS
DE Day
Just like every other years, there will always be this specific
day for DE students and lecturers to come together for a
celebration of the DE Day. DE Day is normally held towards
the end of the year to celebrate DE achievements, where
students and lecturers can form stronger bonds through taking
part in the activities held.
What differs year 2016 apart from the previous years, was that
the team focused on the aim of raising funds for charity. There
are booths selling trendy street apparels, dreamcatchers, food
booths such as s’mores and fried ice cream, the touch
community even joined in as well, since part of the proceeds
will be donated to the charity. Aside from trying to raise funds,
there were also photobooth and performances planned by our
very own year 2 students, where the stage was opened for
students and lecturers who want to showcase their talents.
This also serves as an entertainment for the people who chose
to just hang around during DE day. In conclusion, funds were
raised beyond expectations and the event was successful for
year 2016. 09
