“NAIJArUS” is the brand name for a hub spot created as a social media focal point dedicated to celebrating People of

Nigerian Heritage in the United States of America. The name is coined from “Naija” a word that has become

conventional to the newer generation of Nigerians and those with Nigerian heritage. By being connected to the US

brand for the United States of America, the word is used to designate all Nigerian Americans. The outfit is proposed to

become a destination hub with contents focusing on Americans with Nigerian heritage, for social media interaction,

reference cataloging, to educate, inspire and entertain, embracing an audience that is world-wide. This book is the

hardcopy that complements a web based multi-media content publication endeavor.

The history of over 200,000 people of Nigerian heritage in the US, as a demographic group, has long passed a landmark

with the emergence of a generation that can truly be called Nigerian Americans. “NAIJArUS” creates a multimedia
forum “to showcase the best and brightest of Americans of Nigerian heritage.” For any good story that needs to be told,

it can never come too early or too late, it is always timely. That is the way it is with those of the old and new

generations of Nigerians in the US, whose narratives as Nigerian Americans capture the essence of strength,

determination, achievements and exemplary human dignity. This book will contribute to highlight accomplishments

and achievements being made by Nigerian Americans of all generations, whether they reside or resided in the United

States of America. Each of the individuals profiled in this book have created personalized sketches, portraits that

capture aspects their life, character, spirit and style, or narratives dedicated to a loved one.
