ZOOMIN FOR TRIX

Ahomebred filly with a deep champion- ship pedigree, the Walker Family Trust’s Zoomin For Trix scored her first career stakes victory in the $20,925 Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity at the Jerome County Fair on June 20.
Zoomin For Trix broke on top from the one-hole and led at every subsequent call en route to a 1 1/4-length win over Jess Your Corona in second.
Ridden by Cesar Moreno for conditioner Monty Arrossa and aided by a 17-mph tail wind, the sorrel daughter of the Shazoom stallion Zoomin For Bux went 350 yards in :17.559 while posting a career-best 103 speed index.
Zoomin For Trix was the fourth-fastest qualifier as a result of her 1/2-length victory in the last of three
Ruidoso Invitational
Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity trials on June 6.
Raced exclusively in Idaho, she has won all three of her starts, and the $8,370 winner’s share increased her earnings to $11,190.
Zoomin For Trix was bred in Idaho by the late Jim Walker out of Doing Trix, a homebred winning daughter of the Mr Jess Perry stallion One Sweet Jess who ran third
in the 2017 Indigo Illusion Handicap at Los Alamitos.
Zoomin For Trix’s second dam, the winning Corona Cocktail mare A Perfect Cocktail, produced two
of Walker’s Grade 1 win- ners, both of whom are half siblings to Doing Trix -- Zoomin For Spuds, the win- ner of the 2016 Champion of Champions-G1 at Los Alamitos and that season’s Champion Sophomore
Gelding; and 2020 Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity-G1 winner Apollitical Patty.
Runner-up Jess Your Corona (Daguerre- Stoli Your Corona), trial winner and the second-fastest qualfier, banked the $4,185 runner-up share of the purse to boost his earnings to $5,035 for his owner, Adan Marin. Jesus Afandor rode the Utah-bred gelding for trainer Cesar Luna.
Chicks Dashin Bandit (Coronas Fast Dash-First Prize Chicks) finished in third,
3 1/4-lengths behind Zoomin For Trix, for owner Five Livestock Company LLC of Filer, Idaho. Jose Borbonio rode the homebred geld- ing for trainer Monty Arrossa.
Fastest qualifier U Need Me (A Revenant- Time To Splash Bac) finished in fourth place and was followed across the finish line by Richie Rich 1 (Concorde’s Appeal-Race To Riches), Zoomin Thru Fire (Jess Zoomin- Laters Baby), and Lynda Dash (Bodacious Dash-Lynda With A Y). Fabulous Lucy) was scratched.
$18,898 runner-up share of the purse to boost his earnings to $387,757 from eight outs for owner Bobby D. Cox. Rodrigo Vallejo rode the homebred gray gelding and Grade 1 winner for trainer Heath Taylor.
Famous Cartel Jess (Mr Jess Perry-Famous Cartel Lady) ran third, 1 3/4-lengths behind A Dangerous Flash, and banked $10,499 for owner Johnny Trotter. Raul Ramirez Jr. rode the home- bred sorrel colt and two-time Grade 1 futurity finalist for trainer Mike Joiner.
B Cause Im A Hero (Valiant Hero-Jess B Mighty) finished fourth and was followed by BV Georgy Girl (Tempting Dash-Miss Tres Seis), Ivorina (Ivory James-Signs Zoomer), Miss Famous Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Ms Southern Dynasty), and Packsaddle Senator (Louisiana Senator-Eyes A Shazoom).

ADangerous Flash recorded his first stakes vic- tory in the $100,000 Ruidoso Invitational for 3-year-olds at Ruidoso Downs on June 12.
Trained by Todd Fincher for owners Joe Dee Brooks, Scott Bryant and Norman W. Allen, and sent to post as the 5-2 second choice in the field of eight sophomores, A Dangerous Flash covered 400 yards in :19.547 while defeating 19-10 favor- ite Shott Gun by 1 1/4-lengths. Adrian Ramos rode the brown son of 2009 Champion Aged Stallion First Moonflash.
A Dangerous Flash earned a 99 speed index and the $44,094 winner’s share of the purse.
The gelding made his season debut with a 1-length win in the last of 10 Ruidoso Derby-G1 trials on May
30, posting the 17th-fastest qualifying time and therefore qualified to the Invitational.
Campaigned exclusively at Ruidoso Downs, he has won
four of seven races and the $44,094 winner’s share takes his bank to $71,794.
A $70,000 purchase at the 2019 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, the gelding was bred in Colorado by Audie and Kaye Williams. He is out of 2012 Champion 3-Year-Old Filly Flame N Flash, a 12-year-old daughter of Walk Thru Fire whose two Graded stakes wins at Los Alamitos included the $100,000 Mildred N. Vessels Memorial Handicap-G1.
A Dangerous Flash is a half- brother to stakes winner and 2017 All American Derby-G1 finalist Elicity. His 2nd dam, Oh La Proud, produced Hawkinson, a half-brother to Flame N Flash and the 2001 Champion Aged Stallion,
and Hawkish, a son of Dash Thru Traffic and the 2003 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt.
