Spring Hill Farms has now bred three Lee Berwick winners, having also bred Eysa Jess Jumpn, the 2018 winner, and Dashnunder Afullmoon, who won the 2017 renewal.
Lee Berwick Futurity runner-up San Lorenzeaux (Carters Cartel-Scoopie Coochie) was game in defeat and nearly sprang the upset under Raul Ramirez Jr. The bay gelding, who is owned by Rogelio
Marquez Jr. and trained by Hector Alcala, captured his trial heat on July 10 winning by half a length.
TDZ Royal Runaway (Sir Runaway Dash-Thequeenhasgonenuts) finished third for owner/breeder Tony Doughtie and trainer Kenneth Roberts Sr. Victorious in his trial heat, TDZ Royal Runaway finished third behind Blood Money in the Laddie Futurity on June 12 and is a 3-time winner.
