CADY SHACK CREEK
Cby Danny Camp
ady Shack Creek has won her last two out
of three and her last two in a row since jockey Jesus Valenzuela has taken over the riding assignment. Her latest was the $26,300 Wyoming Downs/Renegade Sports Derby on Aug. 8.
The filly stepped away from the 2-post and got the first call and every subsequent call from there. At the mid-way point, they were only a head in front. With lots of hustle, they crossed the line a neck to the good. Trained by Jorge Garfilas, Cady Shack Creek stopped the timer in :19.995 to earn a 91 speed index. The daughter of Makknmoves also earned the first place check worth $12,098, pushing her total bankroll to $37,912, for owner Robert Fox.
Spencer Peterson bred Cady Shack Creek, the fastest qualifier to this event, out of winner Echo Creek Canyon. The mare has produced 100% win- ners from two starters, including SP Echo Mountain, who was a runner-up in the Utah Bred Futurity.
Transpiring (Foose-Proud Checker) and jockey Jacquelyn Boboff overcame a generic start to capture second place for owner Jeffrey Smith and trainer Glade Van Tassell. Jacquelyn Boboff was in the irons. The filly came into the finals with the sixth fastest qualifying time.
A Trace Of Lane (One Handsome Man-Lanes Legend) found her stride late in the game under Gerardo Vera to cross the wire in second for owner Nate Johnson and trainer Alvaro Torres. The filly was a finalist in the Beehive Futurity last year.
Cancelled Flight (Favorite Cartel-Separate Flight), Political Bedlam (Apollitical Jess-Miss Bedlan), Wildroses 101 (Ja Jess Perfect-Weeds
In My Roses), VVR Corona Cowboy (Coronas Velvet-Proud Caption), Suite Josephine (Apollitical Jess-Christie Jo Dash) and Remington Steele (Rockford-Ditto Dotti) completed the order of fin- ish. Apollitical Azurfame was scratched.

ive Paints and Appaloosas ran in the $21,187
Cassia Fireworks Paint & Appaloosa Futurity on Aug. 21 at Cassia County Fair.
The track was fast, and the sky was cloudy with just a whisper of a crosswind.
Easy Red Fox broke from the 5-post well and in second-place, which was the outside. She avoided the bumping on the inside with plenty of encouragement and direction from jockey Jesus Flores.
They finished a neck behind BG Consider Me, who was disqualified to last, and 3/4-length in front of the closest contender.
Easy Red Fox stopped the clock in :14.083 and was moved to first place.
Trained by Glen Jamison, the daughter of KJ Kinda Easy earned the first place check worth $12,712. That ups her total earnings to $16,951 for owners Taylor & Kent Jamison, her race record stands at one win out of six outs.
Prior to the Cassia Fireworks Paint & Appaloosa Futurity, Easy Red Fox finished fourth in the Rocky Mountain Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Oneida County Fair. The filly was also second in the Social Distancing Paint & Appaloosa Futurity to BG Consider Me Gon at Pocatello Downs, and was third in the Harvest Cup Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Jerome County Fair.
Ralph Hartline bred Easy Red Fox out of winner Classic Red Fox, who placed second in a Appaloosa
and Paint Derby at Eastern Idaho Fair. The mare has produced two winners from three starters. Easy Red Fox is her first stakes winner and top earner.
In spite of a generic break and bumping from the outside, BG Wired N Sixxy APHA (CRM Livewire- Hot N Sixxy) banked second place money for owner Ainsle Woodward and trainer Darric Grant. Eric Ayala was handling the reins. The filly won both the Rocky Mountain Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Oneida County Fair and the Harvest Cup Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Jerome County Fair earlier this year.
Helluva Note APHA (Hell Bent For Cash-Magna Lass) ran a steady and even race to pocket the third place check. He is owned/trained by Base Ward. Raphael Romero was in the irons. The gelding finished fifth in the Social Distancing Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Pocatello Downs earlier this year.
Koyote Kyle ApHC (Midnight Corona QH-Camptownhigh) and BG Consider Me Gone ApHC (Chicks Dig It-Good As Gone) completed the order of finish.
