SIPPIN HAYDEN si 94, $21,630
Race record: 4-2-0-1 • Day 1, Race #9 • Sippin Hayden takes an easy 2 3/4-length victory
Sippin Hayden made his maiden start on May 8 at Remington Park in the trials to the Heritage Place Futurity-G1. The brown gelding broke well in third from the 9-gate and raced in contention the entire way, running fourth early and then getting up for third at the wire. He did not qualify to the finals, but rather had the 10th fastest time to the Heritage Place Juvenile. At the start of that race, Sippin Hayden lunged a bit at the break, could not catch the field and finished sixth. In his next out the gelding won his trial to the Rainbow Futurity, but did not qualify for the finals.
Sippin Hayden’s fourth start was in the All American Futurity trials. The gelding had Jose Enrique Ortiz aboard. Entering the 9-hole in the ninth race, Sippin Hayden, according to the charts, blew them away. He broke on the lead and had a length margin by the first call. He was pulling away with 2-lengths at the top of the stretch, then cruised over the wire 2 3/4-lengths to the good. The gelding enters the All American Futurity with the second fastest clocking from day 1 of trials and the seventh overall time. Sippin Hayden is bred and owned by Rafter W Stables. Michael Joiner is his conditioner.

KAT EYE KYLIE si 91, $9,985
Race record: 3-2-1-0 • Day 1 Race #11 • Kat Eye Kylie wins by 1 1/2-lengths.
Kat Eye Kylie has two wins and one second from three outs entering the All American Futurity-G1. She began her career with a maiden win at Los Alamitos. Although she drifted out a bit, it was a good first race. She broke well, held the lead and was best late with a neck victory. Her second out was also at the Califor- nia track in the trials to the Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1. Coming out of the 5-hole well and in fifth, Kat Eye Kylie endured some bumping early and raced in fourth a good distance behind the leader. With determined grit, the sorrel filly ral- lied and came on strong to finish in second place but did not qualify to the finals.
In the Aug. 20 All American Futurity trials and under rider Francisco Calderon for the first time, Kat Eye Kylie held on to score the victory. Getting the second call out of the 3-gate, the filly quickly moved to the lead and gained a 1/2-length at the first call. She had a full length at the top of the stretch and quickened her pace to cross the wire 1 1/2-lengths in the lead. She comes into the All American Futurity finals with the third fastest time from day 1 of trials and the 8th overall clocking. Kat Eye Kylie is bred and owned by Papas Place LLC and she is trained by Todd Fincher.
