HOLLYWOOD HENRY
Bennie A. Vanecek’s Hollywood Henry scored a wire-to-wire victory in the July 31, $50,000 Sierra Blanca Stakes (R) for New Mexico-bred Thoroughbreds at Ruidoso Downs.
Trained by Fred Danley, Hollywood Henry covered 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:02.33 while earning his second career stakes win, and his winning margin was 5 3/4 lengths from Courage N Order. Duane Sterling rode the 6-year-old gelded son of Roll Hennessy Roll.
Hollywood Henry is one of 109 winners from 155 starters sired by Roll Hennessy Roll, a 21-year- old son of the Storm Cat stallion Hennessy. Racing in five states from 2002-2004, Roll Hennessy Roll earned $173,869 from 12 outs, and his four wins include the 2002 Hollywood Prevue Stakes (G3) at Hollywood Park and $64,885 Ruidoso Futurity at Ruidoso Downs.
A half-brother to three stakes winners, including Grade 3 winner Sing Baby Sing, Roll Hennessy Roll has sired 12 official black-type stakes winners and the earners of more than $7.7 million from 14 crops, including multiple stakes winners Hennessy Express, Kiss My Hennessy,
and Back Seat Roll. The stallion is owned by Fred Alexander and Brad King, and he stands for a $2,500 fee at Fred and Linda Alexander’s A & A Ranch at Anthony, New Mexico.
Hollywood Henry’s dam, the winning Gone Hollywood mare Ringback, has produced four winners from as many starters, including Fill The Bill, a half-sister to Hollywood Henry who ran third in last year’s $163,415 Rio Grande Senorita Futurity (R) at Ruidoso Downs. The gelding’s second dam, the Phone Trick mare After The Beep, won the 2002 El Paso Times Handicap at Sunland Park and Fair Queen Handicap at The Downs at Albuquerque.
Campaigned exclusively in New Mexico, Hollywood Henry has won nine of 26 races -- including six of 10 at the 5 1/2-furlong distance
-- and he has earned $291,035. His record includes a neck victory in the 2019 Mt. Cristo Rey Handicap (R) at Sunland Park.
Golden Band finished third, 7 1/2 lengths behind Hollywood Henry. Franchise Tagged, Cerveza, Del Mar Summer, 17-10 favorite Wheredoesthecashgo, Hold Me Only, Big Hitter,
Attilianno, No Pasa Nada and E J’s Gold com- pleted the order of finish.
Runner-up Courage N Order is a 5-year-old son of the Storm Cat stallion Western Gambler racing for Bob Matney. The gelding has won two of 12 starts and has earned $51,321.
Golden Band was making his 6-year-old season debut. The homebred Quinton’s Gold gelding has won five of 26 outs and has banked $186,198 from 26 outs for his owner, Dale F. Taylor Racing LLC.

Moonflash Cat is a 5-year-old First Moonflash gelding campaigned by Mario A. Ortega. Moonflash Cat has won five of 24 starts and he has earned $134,326.
Why Buy The Cow races for Carroll A. Durbin. A 6-year-old son of Heza Motor Scooter, the gelding has won five of 24 races -- including the 2019 New Mexico Cup 870 Championship (R) at Zia Park -- and he has banked $217,639.

WASCALLYWITTLEWABBIT
Wascallywittlewabbit, a 6-year-old son of Heza Motor Scooter racing for Rogers Farms, led at every call en route to a 3 1/4-length win in the August 28, $50,000 Zia 870 Championship (R) for New Mexico-breds.
Trained by Mike Joiner, Wascallywittlewabbit went 870 yards in :44.736 while posting a 106 speed index and extending his win streak to four races. Benito Baca rode the bay gelding.
“He’s getting better with every race,” said Baca, who has ridden Wascallywittlewabbit in all of the gelding’s races during his winning streak. “This is the perfect distance for him, and he just continues to roll. He’s very easy to guide.”
Wascallywittlewabbit was bred by Mike Weatherly. The gelding’s sire, the Heza Fast Man stallion Heza Motor Scooter, earned $259,682 from 26 races in New Mexico and California, and his seven wins included the 2001 El Primero del Ano Derby (G1) at Los Alamitos.
Heza Motor Scooter has sired the earners of more than $5.2 million from 16 crops, including 2012 champion aged horse Rylees Boy and 2012 Champion Aged Distance Horse All About Larry.

Diamonds, is an unraced daughter of the Yawls Rabbit stallion Rabbits Rainbow. The gelding’s second dam, the Coup De Kas (TB) mare Shines Likea Diamond, won the 1998 KHEY/Y96 Handicap at Sunland Park.
Wascallywittlewabbit was coming off of a three-length victory in an 870-yard $30,000 open-condition allowance race at Ruidoso Downs on August 1. The gelding’s win streak includes
a half-length win in the 870-yard, $50,000 Pauls Valley Stakes (G2) at Remington Park on April 1, and a 1 1/4-length victory in the 870-yard, $64,000 Remington Park Distance Championship (G1) on May 29.
All told, Wascallywittlewabbit has won 10
of 20 races, and his nine wins in 14 outs at the 870-yard trip include a wire-to-wire, 2 1/2-length victory in last year’s Zia 870 Championship (R). The $30,000 winner’s share of the purse from this year’s Zia 870 Championship purse pushed his career bankroll to $219,015.
