La Fiesta Futurity
SPEED DYNASTY

Speed Dynasty turned in the second fastest qualifying time for the La Fiesta Futurity at The Downs At Albuquerque after winning his Sept. 5 trial, and he stepped up his perfor- mance in the $256,065 final on Sept. 20.
He got away from the 7-post with Duane Sterling handling the reins. The colt broke
on top, but let Elphaba get past him. By the halfway point, however, Sterling had his mount back in front. With lots of hustle, they crossed the wire a nose to the good.
Trained by Fred Danley, the colt com- pleted the 400 yards in :19.632 to earn a 91 speed index. Speed Dynasty also earned the first place check worth $128,032 for owner J&SM Inc., which boosts his total lifetime earnings to $177,632.
He now has a race record of 7-4(1)-0-1. Speed Dynasty was also a finalist in the Ruidoso Futurity-G1 and Rainbow Juvenile Stakes.
