Greysland won the $40,455 Dash For Cash Juvenile Stakes. With Victor Urieta Jr. up for trainer Alonso Neri, who also won the Dash For
Cash Futurity with Onemoreandiamgone V, the brown filly ran 400 yards in :19.804 to score by 1/2-length over Special Mariposa.
Owned by Juan Manuel Pastrana, Greysland has a record of 5-2(1)-2(1)-1 and earnings of $115,432, including the $12,138 winner’s share of this purse.
The filly ran second in her first two starts,
both to Cruzin Cartel in the July 10 trials and
July 25 final of the TQHA Sale Futurity-RG2 at Retama Park. Greysland followed that with a nearly 4-length blowout over maiden company at Retama on Aug. 20.
Bobby Cox bred Greysland out of TQHA Sale Futurity-RG2 winner Grey Daze. She has produced 100% money earners from three starters with two winners. Greysland is her first stakes winner.
Special Mariposa (The Louisiana Cartel- Pampered Silk) came in second for owners
Maribel Hernandez and Martha Nevarez. Everado Rodriguez rode the filly for trainer Adrian Huitron.
Hechizero Lips (Jess Lips-Shazooms Sweet Bruja) and jockey Noe Villatoro finished in third for owner Dora Nelly Zamarron and trainer Jonathan Castaneda. The colt was a finalist in the TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity-G3 at Retama Park earlier this year.

Bill Reed Memorial Two Rivers Stakes-G3 WASCALLYWITTLEWABBIT MARFILMIO

Wascallywittlewabbit scored his second stakes win in a row in the $20,000 Bill Reed Memorial at Ruidoso Downs on Sept. 5.
The gelding broke from the 2-post on top and immediately took command. He moved down to the rail to save ground under Benito Baca, and he was 1-length in front at the top of the stretch. At the wire, he crushed the field by 3 1/2-lengths.
They completed the 870 yards in :44.672 to earn a 109 speed index. Wascallywittlewabbit earned the $12,000 winner’s share of the purse for owner Rogers Farms, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $97,787.
He has won all of his four starts in 2020 since Mike Joiner has been in charge of conditioning and Baca has been handling the reins. His other stakes victory came in the Zia 870 Championship at Ruidoso Downs in July. He went wire-to-wire in that event as well, winning by 2 1/2-lengths.
Mike Weatherly bred Wascallywittlewabbit out of unraced Rabbits N Diamonds. Wascallywittlewabbit is her first winner from two starters.
Carol Durbin’s Why Buy The Cow (Heza Motor Scooter-Southwest Treasure) and Esgar Ramirez finished second for trainer Simon Buechler. The gelding won last year’s New Mexico Classic Cup 870 Championship. He was also runner-up in the King Rick Rack Stakes-G3.
Dan The Flashman (First Moonflash- Domeinitchy TB) finished third under Jose Ortiz for owner Victor Diaz and trainer Juan Gonzalez. The gelding won last year’s Zia 870 Championship at Ruidoso Downs. He also finished fourth in the Zia 870 Championship in July.
Executive Trust (Executive Menace-Entrust), Secular Nation TB (Distorted Humor-Adrina) and Costal Confessions (Louisiana Senator-Le Mishka Jess) completed the order of finish.

Two weeks after the broodmare Sinuous got an All American Futurity-G1 winner with Whistle Stop Cafe, she had another stakes winner. Her 2015 foal, Marfilmio, captured the $35,000 Two Rivers Stakes-G3 at Prairie Meadows on Sept. 25.
With Ronald Hisby aboard, Marfilmio broke
on top in the 440-yard Two Rivers and never looked back. He kept lengthening his lead, crossing the wire 1 3/4-lengths in front and stopping the timer in :21.708, posting a 101 speed index.
Manuel Campos trains Marfilmio for owner Hugo Barron-Sierra. Breeder Bobby Cox sold Marfilmio at the 2016 Heritage Place Yearling Sale to David Harsche for $25,000. Marfilmio began rac- ing for David and Debra Harsche, and Barron-Sierra has campaigned him since mid-2019. Marfilmio has placed in three earlier stakes.
Cox bred Marfilmio out of homebred graded stakes-placed Sinuous. The mare has produced 10 winners from 13 starters, including graded stakes winner So Rapido and stakes-placed Canonball Run, Mansory and Bigtime Connoisseur.
Margo Schares bred second-place Three Olives N Smoke (Jess Louisiana Blue-Smokin Corona) and owns him with Brad Thomas. Eugenio Navarrete Jr. rode the gelding for trainer John Hammes.
Jorge Torres rode Ferrari James (Ivory James- Ferarri Fast Prize) to third for owner Alfredo Botello and trainer Alex Wessels.
Completing the field were Heza Blues Man (Favorite Cartel-Eyesa Blues Girl), JK Wildcat Red (One Dashing Eagle-Shaky Girl), PYC Jess Bite Mydust (Apollitical Jess-Paint Or More), Zoomn On Bye (Mezoomn-Eyesa Chickin It Out), DF Lord Garvan (Apollitical Jess-Three Green Leaves), Saginaw Creek (FDD Dynasty-Royal Quick Glass) and Hooked On A Win (PYC Paint Your Wagon- Pretty Girl Kate).
