The eighth-fastest qualifier from the Sept. 16 trials, One Perfect Lady, who annexed
the Ruidoso Downs Juvenile Challenge-G3
in August, is now a winner in five of eight lifetime starts. She has placed in two others and now boasts earnings of $230,507 with the $170,600 winner’s share of this purse added to her coffers.
Bred in New Mexico, One Perfect Lady is produced from the One Famous Eagle mare The Perfect Eagle, who in turn is out of a full sister to two-time Champion FDD Dynasty.
One Perfect Lady’s third dam is Dinastia Toll BRZ, winner of the Charger Bar Handicap-G1, Las Damas Handicap-G2 (twice) and Z Wayne Griffin Director’s Stakes 2nd Division-G3. She has produced six stakes and earners of over $2 million.
Runner-up Daddy Caliente (Big Daddy Cartel-Valant Flame) and jockey Claudio Aguilar offered the winner a stern challenge but were out-kicked late. Trained by Brian Stroud, the gray colt, who is now multiple graded stakes-placed, is owned by Mi
Cielo Ranch and was bred in Texas by Jose Espinosa. Daddy Caliente was a $17,000 graduate in last year’s TQHA Yearling Sale. Daddy Caliente finished third in the TQHA Sale Futurity-G2 in July.
All Night Roc (A Revenant-Girls Eye Too), ridden by James Flores, chased the top two
from start to finish and reported across the wire in third for owners Dean Frey and Harvey Chase and trainer Monty Arrossa. It was the first loss for All Night Roc who had captured all four of his previous starts.
Rgs Gold Wagon (Prized Wagon-Ja Gols), Tha Duke (RC Me Leaving You-Precious
Perry Girl), Tic It To The Dance (Mr Jess Perry-Double Down Darling), Tyger King (Apollitical Jess-Cruzin the Wagon), Bye Corona Bye (Ivory James-Bye N Pearls), Eura Lota Guy (Lota Pyc-Eurapollitical Girl), and Painted Seis (Tres Seis-Jakes Painted Wagon) completed the order of finish.
