NOKIDDN

okiddn was not joking around when he stepped
into the 1-gate for the $35,000 Caesars Empire Derby at Horseshoe Indianapolis on Oct. 22. The 3-year-old gelding was all business in the 400-
yard event, registering a game wire-to-wire victory to break his maiden and join the ranks of stakes winners all at once in his fourth lifetime start.
With jockey Cristian Reyes in the irons, Nokiddn surged to a short lead early and maintained a 1/2-length advantage the length of the lane. With a sustained run, Nokiddn proved uncatchable, defeating Kenoma by a 1/2-length at the finish. In notching his initial stakes score, Nokiddn stopped the timer in :20.396 and earned a speed index of 82. The win also gave trainer Natasha Perez her first stakes win as a trainer.
Owned by Rodolfo Rodriguez and Raul Contreras, Nokiddn improved his record to 4-1-0-0 and the $16,450 winner’s share of the purse boosted his earnings to $17,115. Bred in Texas by Mark Rigby DVM, Nokiddn is out of the winning Dashing Double mare.
Kenoma (Mr Ease Cartel-Bye Bye First Bird) offered game chase and finished second under jockey James Flores. The brown filly is owned by Brad Sharp and Brant Barley and is conditioned by Randy Smith. Race favorite and stakes winner Freighttrain King (Freighttrain B-Sheza Miracle Chico) and jockey Daniel Torres bobbled at the start and got
up for third for owner Martin Olmedo Lopez and trainer Shawna Manriquez.
This Famous Dream (One Famous Eagle-This Dreams Flying), Paint Your Legacy (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Miss Inseprable), Count Down (Ivory James- Rare Encore), Nacho Sin Tacha (Habits Secret-Sin Tachas Angel), Nachor Favorite (Habits Secret-Eyes a Favorite), and One Fabulous Seis (One Fabulous Eagle-Sissy Seis) completed the order of finish.
