LQHBA Sale Futurity-RG1
SAN LORENZEAUX

San Lorenzeaux simply dominated his rivals in the $382,415 LQHBA Sale Futurity-RG1 and flipped the script on race favorite Blood Money, who had defeated him in the Lee Berwick Futurity-RG1 three starts back.
Ridden by Raul Ramirez Jr., San Lorenzeaux grabbed command away from the starting gate in the 350-yard dash and quickly opened up by one length early. He was never seriously challenged in the run through the lane, powering home to score
by 1 1/2-lengths as the even-money second choice in the wagering in a wire-to-wire run.
The eye-catching effort resulted in a new track record of :17.204, eclipsing the previous mark of :17.235 set by Dashin Brown Streak in 2014. The winner’s final clocking earned a 105 speed index.
